Ode to an Orthodontist
Nothing in this world is perfect,
And to this effect
Many teeth are born "unstraight"
Tough luck, unfortunate fate.
Hear, hear the news is good:
Consider, if you would,
There is Dr. Taylor, the orthodontist,
Who treats and assists
With gentle hands,
Putting on wires and bands

One day appointments are past,

Over the years, it was always an exciting event to see my patients return from your office with their braces just removed. I think I enjoyed it almost as much as the parents did. I always felt comfortable recommending my patients to your practice, knowing they would get the best treatment possible. My adult sons are very proud of the work you accomplished with them, and now the last of my family has been completed with my granddaughter. It was so exciting for me to see her this weekend for the first time without braces. I knew you could do it, but it's still a thrill to see it happen.
